The IOMETE Creed

The IOMETE Creed is a set of beliefs that describes how we aspire to act. These are not set in stone and are expected to evolve as they are influenced by the individuals that make up our team. Why is this helpful? It gives prospective hires an idea of our culture and our team members an idea of desired behavior.

"I will never stop learning. I will take initiative and contribute, even in areas that are not assigned to me. I commit to intellectual honesty and am prepared to put my ego aside. My identity is not tight up in my opinion. I know there's no such thing as a status quo. I believe in quality output, not fancy talk. I aim to strike a balance between speed and quality. I will build our business sustainably through loyal customers. I realize that customers come first. I will not pass up on an opportunity to help out a customer or fellow team member. While I realize that some money is needed to lead a healthy and happy life, above a certain level it's not crucial for my happiness. I believe in meaningful work and meaningful relationships. I cherish the opportunity to establish long-lasting relationships with my team members at IOMETE. I will communicate frequently, clearly and transparently, because it's the oxygen of a distributed company. I believe there is no problem that's insurmountable”

We admire Automattic and Gitlab, because they are fellow software companies who were able to build healthy company cultures with fully remote teams.
